Manaslu Circuit Trek weather varies throughout the year from sunny to cold and dry to wet. Manaslu Circuit Trek is a high-altitude mountain trek in the foothills of Mount Manaslu (8,163 meters). The total distance to trek Manaslu is from 700 meters to 5160 meters. The weather condition depends on the time of year you trek.

The temperature during the day is sunny and warm, but at night the temperature drops below 0 degrees Celsius in December – February. Each season is divided into four-seasons(Spring, Monsoon, Autumn and Winter) and is covered based on the weather and temperature of Manaslu Circuit Trek.


Spring Season (March-May)

Spring season is the best season for those who want to experience the best of tranquility as well as the scenery of the trail. The weather and temperature are stable and ideal during this time of the year. The visibility is clear with views of the snow-capped mountains and green forests. During the Spring season, there is a low risk of landslides and other climate hazards. So it is recommended as the safest season of all time.

March is the starting month of the Spring season. It is the coldest month than the other two months. The temperature can be felt neither too cold nor too hot. It gives a bearable temperature. All accommodation and tea-houses are reopened in March. In the lower region, you can witness stunning flora and fauna with colorful blooms of the rhododendron forest, green fields, and white snow-capped mountains.

April is the best month in the Spring season. The average temperature is around 6-12 degrees Celsius in the day time and during night time it is not as cold so you can enjoy sleep. The weather conditions in both higher and lower altitude is stable. You can witness professional mountain climber attempts to climb some of the surrounding peaks. Comparatively, the trekking region is not crowded this month. Hence, April gives the best trekking experience through the circuit.

May is the warmest month in the Spring season. The temperature starts rising due to which the climate is hot and you get sweaty in the daytime. But, the temperature is mild at the highest temperature. So, you need to carry thin-light clothes during this time.


Monsoon Season(June-August)

Monsoon season is also known as the rainier season. More than 80% of the country is received by rainfall. It is a difficult season among others because the trails become muddy, slippery, and have a higher chance of landslides and floods as well. The weather is not stable sometimes it becomes a crystal clear view and sometimes the mountains are covered in clouds. Highest altitude above 4000 meters you can witness the snowfall if it continues to rain for a long duration of time.

In June in the lower regions, we need to wear light thin clothes during the daytime. The average temperature is around 25 degrees Celsius. Most of the time you get hit by rain and clouds. In the higher region, the average temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius. The temperature slightly decreases due to continuous rainfall whereas, the humidity increases.

July is the hottest and wettest month of the monsoon season. It rains almost every day in the lower regions. After the rain stopped, it made nature alive with lush green valleys, fresh air with greenery field and forest. Usually, it rains during the evening and night time.

August is the wettest month of the season. During this month, you will witness waterfalls, streams, and throttling rivers around the circuit. Due to constant rainfall, you need to carry rain gear and other medical tools which help you being attacked by insects like mosquitoes and leeches.


Autumn Season(September-November)

Autumn season comes after the monsoon season, it gives clear and fresh air. You can enjoy stunning views of snow-capped mountains with amazing clarity. This season is best for beginners and novices to get a taste of high altitude treks. The temperature in higher and lower altitudes is stable during this season. During the day, the weather is warm and at the night time, the temperature is cold. It is common to drop the temperature below freezing in this season. The biggest festival Dashain and Tihar is celebrated during this season.

September is the first month of the Autumn season. The weather condition is stable during this month. It gives trekkers the best views of the green forest and farms with glorious rivers, streams and waterfalls. The temperature is ideal neither hot nor cold in trails. The average temperature is around 7 degrees Celsius at higher altitudes. And in lower, the temperature is around 21 degrees Celsius.

October is the best month of the year for trekkers to trek. The weather is perfect and the temperature is stable for treks. The temperature is moderate to around 15 degrees Celsius. At higher altitudes, you will experience a slight chill climate as the temperature drops to -2 degrees Celsius. You will witness a large volume of traffic in the trails during October.

November is the end of the Autumn season. It is quite similar to October with slight drop in temperature.
