Overview

Lobuche  East Peak climbing can be done by the novice climbers or the seasoned climbers. The black triangle situated in the rocky eastern face which rose from the Khumbu glacier forms the marvelous skyline creating the southern ridge.  The climbing of the steep snowy trail marks the wilderness thrill. While reaching to the base camp the climbers follow the legendary trail of the Everest Base Camp Trek. The view of the numerous mountains like Lhotse, Nuptse, Cholatse, Tabuche, Amadablam, Mount Everest, Makalu and others would help climbers forget all the hardship of climbing. The route towards base camp passing by the temperate and alpine forests in Lukla, Phakding, Namche, Tengboche, Pangboche and Pheriche offers best mountain experience. The base camp can be set up in the Chola Pass trekking circuit also at Dzongla. Therefore, you can clearly feel that this is the most diversified peak climbing exercise.

Physical Conditions and Experience Requirements

20 days of Lobuche East Peak Climbing is considered as moderate. If you jog or perform morning walks regularly then it would not be any problem for you to walk on the trail. However, it is highly recommended that you should start doing mild exercises one month prior to your Peak Climbing  date. This would help in creating best Himalayan walking holiday experience. Having said that, it should be noted Technical Skill are not needed. The major hurdle is an altitude. Therefore, person having past medical history of lung, heart and blood diseases are extremely advised to consult your doctor before embarking on this journey.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345meters).

Up on arrival at airport we will welcome you and transfer to you hotel.Evening welcome dinner with Nepali cultural dance show.Overnight at Hotel.


Day 2 : Fly to Lukla (2804 meters) trek to Phakding (2610 meters) 3 hours.

Wake up morning then heading to Airport for the 35 minute scenic flight to Tenzing and Hillary Airport at Lukla at 2804meters. After landing we have time to explore the village while our Sherpa crew sorts and loads our trekking equipment. Then we begin our trek by descending towards the Dudh Koshi River where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaunrikharka (2713m). The walking is easy and after passing through the small village of Ghat (2550m) it is a short walk to Phakding. Overnight at Guesthouse.


Day 3 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5.30 hours.

We continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Koshi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views. Namche Bazaar known as the Gateway to Everest is home to many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchanges, internet cafes and bakeries. Namche is one of the biggest villages along the whole Everest trail. Overnight at Guesthouse.


Day 4 : Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day.

Relaxing day in Namche Bazaar.We will spend a day here in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning of the air, as well as a short trek where a museum is celebrating the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. Today we hike up the Syangboche Airport around Everest View Hotel. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks. Overnight at Guesthouse.


Day 5 : Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3860 meters) 5 hours.

Today we trek to Tengboche from Namche Bazaar.The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Koshi with magnificent views of the mountains. We trek to an altitude of 3860 meters. On reaching Tengboche you will see the local monastery. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or morning depending on how the day’s trekking went. Overnight at Guesthouse.


Day 6 : Trek to Dingboche (4350 meters) 5.30 hours.

Wake up early in the moning then having breakfast then trek to Dingboche.From Tengboche the trail drops to Debuche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of mani stones. Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. We take our time so we avoid getting affected by the altitude. Overnight at Guesthouse.


Day 7 : Trek to Nagarjune Hill back to Dingboche. 4.30 hours.

Today you can enjoy another day for acclimatization. We will have a trip to Nagarjune hill to get a marvelous view of the surrounding mountains, especially Lhotse’s massive south wall, then return to Dingboche in the evening. Overnight at Guesthouse.


Day 8 : Trek to Lobuche (4910 meters) 5 hours.

Having breakfast then heading to Lobuche.Today, the trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits.We continue to climb as we are heading to the altitude of 4910 meters at Lobuche which is really just a few huts at the foot of giant Lobuche peak. Some breathing problems may arise today due to the altitude. Overnight at Guesthouse.


Day 9 : Trek to Everest Base Camp (5365 meters) then back to Gorak Shep (5180 meters). 7.30 hours.

Let’s experience the most adventurous day.Its a big and difficult day walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 5365 meters, the closest you can get to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipment. There will likely be a team about to attempt the summit. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. We return back to Gorak Shep for the night. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 10 : Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545m/18,192ft] and back to Lobuche (4940m/16,207ft): 7-8 hours


Day 11 : Lobuche to High Camp (5,400m/17,712ft): 3-4 hours


Day 12 : Lobuche High Camp to Summit (6119m/20,070 ft) and back to High Camp: 8-10 hours


Day 13 : Contingency/reserve day


Day 14 : Lobuche High Camp to Pangboche (3930m /12900 ft): 8-9 hours


Day 15 : Pangboche to Namche Bazaar: 4-5 hours


Day 16 : Trek to Lukla (2804 meters) 6 hours.

Having breakfast then heading to Lukla where the trek began, which will seem like a lifetime ago; enjoying time to reflect on the trek as a group and the personal achievement of all those who took part and also giving you time to explore the town. Overnight at Guesthouse.


Day 17 : Morning flight back to Kathmandu.

Enjoying your last glimpse of the mountains you have recently visited for one last time on the 35 minute scenic flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu, we will transfer you hotel. Relaxing and buy souvenir. Overnight at Kathmandu.


Day 18 : Fly Back to Home

The journey within the mountains of Nepal comes to an end today!We will transfer you airport as per your flight time.
