Short Everest Base Camp Trek starts from Lukla. Trekkers have to take a flight from Kathmandu to The Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla. The airport is termed as the world’s most extreme airport. Journey then passes by tiny Sherpa villages like Phakding, Benkar and Manjo before reaching Namche Bazaar. Acclimatization rest is taken at Namche Bazaar. This is the biggest town of Khumbu region. Trip then takes route of Tengboche Monastery, Dingboche, Lobuche and Gorakshep to reach Everest Base Camp (5364 m). Everest region
and only airstrip of area for food as well as daily needs transportation. Trail passes by tranquil hamlets, numerous suspension bridges and green lush forests before reaching Namche Bazaar. After first day’s camping at Phakding trekkers reach Namche Bazaar which is the heartland of Sherpa people as well. Hiking to Everest View Hotel offers magnificent panoramic view of mountains like Amadablam, Thamserku, Tabuche, Lhotse, Nuptse, Everest and many others during acclimatization day rest. Trekkers will then proceeds to Tengboche which is Everest View Trek journey’s final destination as well. Experience the daily chores of monks inside Tengboche Monastery before heading to Dingboche. After reaching Dingboche trekkers will again rest another day for second acclimatization. Finally the trip heads to trail encompassing high passes, moraines and glaciers.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2804 meters) trek to Phakding (2610 meters) 3 hours.
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5.30 hours.
Day 04: Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3860 meters) 5 hours.
Day 05: Trek to Dingboche (4350 meters) 5.30 hours.
Day 06: Trek to Lobuche (4910 meters) 5 hours.
Day 07: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5365 meters) then back to Gorak Shep (5180 meters). 7 hours.
Day 08: Hike up to Kalapatthar (5555 meters) early in the morning and trek down to Periche (4200 meters). 7 hours.
Day 09: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5.30 hours.
Day 10:Trek to Lukla (2804 meters) 6-7 hours.
Day 11: Morning flight back to Kathmandu.
Physical Conditions and Experience Requirements
11 days of Short Everest Base Camp Trekking is considered as moderate. If you jog or perform morning walks regularly then it would not be any problem for you to walk on the trail. However, it is highly recommended that you should start doing mild exercises one month prior to your trekking date. This would help in creating best Himalayan walking holiday experience. Having said that, it should be noted Technical Skill are not needed. The major hurdle is an altitude. Therefore, person having past medical history of lung, heart and blood diseases are extremely advised to consult your doctor before embarking on this journey.
