Hiking at Annapurna Circuit, you can encounter the fascinating sight of the splendid village and subtropical valleys. The neighborhood has a rare culture and lifestyle of native people. Annapurna trail is well known for awe inspiring forests, astounding waterfalls and glorious cliffs.

Trekking at the Annapurna round trip would begin usually from Marshyangdi River, following the Manang valley through Chame, Pisang, Bryaga all the way to the highest point of the trek, which is Thorong La pass (5614m.) ending in Pokhara. The enchanters of this trek include Manang, known to be the locality of the Tibetan-Buddhists, Muktinath, which is known to be the prominent pilgrimage destination for the Hindus as well as Buddhists, and the deepest river gorge of the world, Kali Gandaki valley.

Trek to Annapurna Circuit is viewed as one of the best travel packages in Nepal and would offer you an ordeal to value of a lifetime. You would become more acquainted with the way of life of this district through the village life, for instance, you can find one of the oldest monasteries which is known as Braga, you could get a view of terraced farming, the corn and barley fields of the Manang region and you would also get to see bamboo as well as the rhododendrons as you trek to Annapurna circuit.

This stunning adventurous trek leads you to 5415m high peak Thorong La pass, offering the most magnificent views of the Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Nilgiri, Lamjung, Tukuche peak, Tilicho peak and Tibetan Himalayan ranges. March to May and September to December is considered to be the best season for this trek. It is absolutely impossible for you to not be mesmerized by this extremely delightful place and you can without a doubt get a fabulous break from the day by day routine while you are in this spot.

Best Time To Do Annapurna Circuit Trek

Autumn and Spring are the best seasons to explore Annapurna Circuit trekking routes. Most of the trekkers choose these seasons because of its natural beauty like clear skies, stunning views of mountains, and green hills with warm temperatures.

Annapurna Circuit Trek is known as one of the most popular treks for trekkers across the globe. This route is in the world’s 10th highest mountain Annapurna which is at 8081m high. The trail begins from Lamjung though the high valley of Manang area. Hiking goes through high mountain passes, landscape view with relaxing hot spring, different cultural temples, farming villages, and view of the Annapurna Massif. Most trekkers offer this popular trekking route in Annapurna Region. Most of the time trekkers start the hike from Bhubhule and end at Nayapul, and its total distance is around 260km.

Accommodation & meals in Annapurna Circuit

During the Annapurna Circuit Trek, there are several options for accommodation and meals along the trail. Teahouses are the most common type of accommodation, which are small guesthouses that offer basic rooms with shared bathrooms. Most of these teahouses also have restaurants that offer meals such as dal bhat (a traditional Nepalese dish consisting of rice, lentil soup, and vegetables), momos (dumplings filled with vegetables or meat), and noodle soup.

The cost of accommodation and meals varies depending on the location and the season. In general, the cost of accommodation ranges from 700-800 Nepalese Rupees (NPR) per night, while meals cost between 1000-1300 NPR per meal. It is important to note that the cost of meals and accommodation tends to increase the higher you go on the trek due to the remoteness and difficulty of transportation of goods.

It is advised to bring some cash with you on the trek, as there are limited ATM machines along the trail. Some teahouses also accept credit cards, but it is always good to have cash on hand as a backup.

Best time

The best time to do the Annapurna Circuit Trek is during the autumn months of September to November and the spring months of March to May. During these months, the weather is generally clear and dry, making for ideal trekking conditions with good visibility and comfortable temperatures.

In the autumn months, the skies are typically clear, the weather is mild, and the landscapes are lush and green after the monsoon season. This is also a popular time for trekking, so expect some crowds along the trail.

In the spring months, the weather is mild and the flowers are blooming, making for stunning scenery. The skies are also typically clear, but there may be occasional showers. This is also a good time to trek if you are interested in bird watching, as many migratory birds can be seen.

However, it's important to note that weather patterns can be unpredictable in the mountains, so it's always best to check the forecast and prepare accordingly, regardless of the season.

O/N at Guest house.

Wake up early in the morning then head to Chame.Today The trail climbs along the mule track through in and fir forest and then follows the river for a time amongst the higher oak and maple trees. On the way you will have spectacular views of views of major Himalayan peaks. Overnight at guesthouse.

We will first pass the older part of Chame and climb up to Telekhu at 2840 meter and continue with a long pleasant and mostly level walk through the forest to Brathang, which lies at 2950 meter. After the trail rounds a bend here we will see the first view of the dramatic Paungda Danda rock face, a tremendous curved slab of rock rising more then 1500 meter from the river. We will cross back to the south bank of the Marsyangdi on a suspension bridge at 3080 meter and then make a long gentle climb over a ridge through blue pine forests. After this the trek will be reasonably level as it heads to the upper part of Manang valley to Pisang. This town marks the beginning of the region known as Nyesyang, the upper portion of the Manang district (5 hrs).O/N at lodge.

Heading to Manang.Today our trek will slowly climb up to the Tibetan-style village of Bryaga at 3500 meter following the valley floor. The gompa, perched on a high crag overlooking the village, is the largest in the district and has an outstanding display of statues. O/N at Lodge

For our body to acclimatize we spend this day exploring Manang , early morning we hike up to Gangapurna Lake and Base Camp spend the day admiring Annapurna III, Tilicho, Pisang and Chulu Peaks ,roam around Manang Village and Monasteries.during the afternoon we may visit the Himalayan Rescue Association in Vraja village where we will be briefed about acute Mountain Sickness., its symptoms and preventions

After a day in and around Manang, acclimatizing to the high elevation, and allowing our bodies time to rest and get used to the environment, From Manang we cross a stream and climb up to Tenki village then head out of Marshyangdi valley northwest up Jar Sang khola valley .the trail ascends slowly as we head northward. we will pass a few pastures and juniper trees . Following the trail we will pass though a small village called Gunsan with houses made of flat mud roof and then pass pastures with yaks and horses. After crossing a small river on a wooden bridge,we make our way up the spectacular valley to an open, peaceful meadow known as Yak Kharka

Leaving Yak Kharka, you climb gradually to a ridge before descending to the headwaters of the Marsyangdi and crossing via a covered wooden bridge. After a short ascent up the mountain path on the right bank, you follow a narrow trail across an unstable spree slope and then descend to Thorung Phedi.

Today is a long trek starting before sunrise at maybe 04:00 hrs to reach the pass by 09:00/10:00 hrs at the latest, as otherwise weather conditions will greatly affect the journey. We cross over at an altitude of 5416m so can be exposed to strong winds if crossing too late. Local people have used this trail for hundreds of years to bring herds of sheep and yaks in and out of Manang. Thus the trail, while often steep, is well defined and easy to follow. Snow can block the pass at any time of the year if there has been an unseasonable storm. It takes from four to six hours from Thorung Phedi to the pass, but the many false summits mean the climb seems to go on for ever.At the Thorung La pass, with its traditional prayer flags and stone cairn we will have outstanding views. You can see the Annapunas, Gangapurna and Khatung Kang, a heavily glaciated peak. Amazingly there is a teashop here on top of the pass at 5416 meter. From here we start a long descend of about 1600 meter with outstanding views of Dhaulagiri mountain standing alone in the distance across the valley. After the trail becomes less steep we will enter grassy fields and cross meadows to our final destination of Muktinath, which means place of Nirvana and is home to the Muktinath temple as well as several monasteries. It is said that all sorrows you feel are relieved when visiting the Temple, which is a scared pilgrimage site to both Hindus and Buddhists. The main pilgrimage normally takes place in September. The Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and has 108 waterspouts around it from which Holy water pours. Another attraction nearby is the Jwala Mai Temple and this contains a spring and an eternal flame fed by natural underground gas (9 hrs)

The trek from Muktinath to Jomsom is a popular route in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It is a relatively easy trek that offers stunning views of the Himalayas and a glimpse into the local culture and way of life.

The trek usually takes around 2-3 days and covers a distance of approximately 20 kilometers. The route starts from Muktinath, a holy site for both Hindus and Buddhists, and descends towards the Kali Gandaki River valley. Along the way, you will pass through picturesque villages such as Jharkot and Khingar, where you can see traditional stone houses and observe the local way of life.

The trail is mostly flat or downhill and follows the Kali Gandaki River, which is the world's deepest gorge. You will also pass through apple orchards and see yaks grazing in the fields. The final destination of the trek is Jomsom, a small town famous for its apples and strong winds.

Overall, the Muktinath to Jomsom trek is a great option for those who want to experience the beauty of the Annapurna region without doing a strenuous trek. The route is easily accessible and offers a taste of the local culture and stunning mountain views.

Get up early in the morning and fly to Pokhara.

We spend a full day to explore Pokhara. Early morning we drive to the Sarangkot Hill to have the sunrise views over the Himalayas. After breakfast, we make a full day sightseeing of Pokhara. Enjoy walking along the bank of Phewa Lake, admiring the stunning reflection of the Fish Tail Peak in the blue Phewa Lake waters.
